Gardening with the Griswolds

Pardon the abrupt hiatus from regular blog posts! I’ve been out having fun. One thing cancer teaches you is to seize the good days and get outside in God’s creation. That’s a privilege not everyone enjoys.

“God passes through the thicket of the world, and wherever his glance falls He turns all things to beauty.” -St John of the Cross

We even planted a cherry tree! There was freezing cold mud, fumbling digging of holes, laughing, yelling, cursing, wailing and gnashing of teeth. But it’s growing, and now we await the day it bears fruit. If that’s not a metaphor for life with God, I don’t know what is.
